Filtronic plc (“Filtronic”), a leading global designer and manufacturer of customised microwave electronic subsystems for the wireless telecommunications and defence industries, announces that Mr Alan Needle, CEO of the Wireless Infrastructure Division and a director of Filtronic plc, has requested to retire early for personal reasons. The Board has accepted this request and he will leave the company on 31st December 2005. John Roulston, Group CEO, will assume direct responsibility for the Wireless Infrastructure Division, effective from 1st January 2006.
