On 2nd May, 2006 Filtronic Comtek (Hungary) Kft was certified against ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 standards. ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certificates prove that Filtronic's Quality and Environmental Management Systems meet the requirements of best practice standards. For customers, the certification of suppliers to ISO standards means that they can be assured that the development of their products and services are compliant to reference documents that are globally accepted.

Filtronic plc is a world leader in the design and manufacture of a broad range of customised RF, microwave and millimetre wave components and subsystems. The company's products are used in wireless communication infrastructure equipment, cellular handsets, electronic defence systems, and point-to-point communication systems. These products filter, amplify and transmit and receive RF signals. Filtronic can supply products for every significant transmission standard and modulation system in the world, operating at any frequency. The company has a strategic alliance with BAE SYSTEMS. Current manufacturing operations include UK, Finland, USA, China and Hungary.

Filtronic in Hungary has refurbished an 8000 plus square metre manufacturing site with electronic production level air conditioning and anti-static flooring at Szekesfehervar (some fifty kilometres Southwest of Budapest, the favourite site of automotive and electronics investors). The factory has been officially opened mid of October 2005. Filtronic Hungary employs nearly 300 people and currently operates five product lines.
