Filtronic plc, a leading provider of customised microwave electronic subsystems for the wireless telecommunications and defence industries, announces the appointment of Mr. Reg Gott as a non executive director of Filtronic plc with effect from 13 July 2006.

Reg Gott B.Sc., M.Sc. (49), was appointed to the board of FKI plc a major international diversified engineering group in 2002. In 2004 he became Managing Director of FKI Logistex Group, a worldwide provider of automated material handling systems . He is also FKI’s Technical Director.

Mr Gott has an extensive background in the machinery, automation and controls segments of the capital goods markets across Europe and North America.

There are no details to be disclosed of other directorships held by Mr. Gott in any publicly quoted company at any time in the previous five years. Furthermore there are no disclosures to be made according to paragraph 14.1, Annex 1 of Appendix 3 to the Prospectus Rules.
